travolator

Horizontal airport escalator

A travolator is a moving walkway—a flat, motorized conveyor belt that transports people horizontally or on a gentle incline, typically found in airports and large transit stations.

Also spelled travelator.

The term is more common in British English; Americans tend to say moving walkway or moving sidewalk.
