travelator
Horizontal people mover
A travelator is a moving walkway—a flat conveyor belt that transports people horizontally or on a gentle incline, typically found in airports and large shopping centers.
Unlike escalators, travelators have no steps: We rolled our luggage onto the travelator.
Also spelled travolator or spelled out as moving walkway.
