traveling exhibits
Mobile museum shows
Traveling exhibits are displays—typically of art, historical artifacts, or educational materials—designed to move between museums, galleries, or other venues rather than remain in one permanent location.
They allow institutions to share collections and attract visitors with temporary attractions: The King Tut traveling exhibit drew record crowds.
Also called touring exhibitions.
