art shows
Paintings on display
Art shows are exhibitions where artwork is displayed for viewing, sale, or competition.
They range from gallery openings and museum retrospectives to outdoor festivals and student showcases.
We spent the afternoon at an art show in the park.
The term covers both prestigious exhibitions and casual community events where local artists display their work.
