trans male
Female-to-male person
A trans male is a person assigned female at birth who identifies and lives as male.
The term emphasizes male identity rather than transgender status: He's been out as a trans male since college.
Also called trans man or FTM (female-to-male).
Some prefer simply "man" without the modifier once they've transitioned.
