topspins
Dipping shot technique
Topspins is the plural of topspin, the forward rotation applied to a ball that makes it dip and bounce sharply.
In tennis, table tennis, and other racket sports, topspin shots curve downward and kick up on landing, making them harder to return: Her topspins kept landing deep in the court.
The term occasionally describes multiple varieties or instances of the technique.
