salad forks
Smaller dinner prongs
Salad forks are smaller forks with shorter, sometimes broader tines, used for eating salad.
In formal table settings, they appear to the left of the dinner fork and are used for earlier courses.
The term sometimes serves as shorthand for fussy etiquette or social pretension: I don't know from salad forks.
