Bamboo yard light

A tiki torch is a bamboo pole with a container of fuel at the top, designed to burn outdoors for light and ambiance.

Common at backyard parties, luaus, and poolside gatherings, they evoke Polynesian-themed décor.

The torches also function as insect repellent when burning citronella oil.

Since a 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville where participants carried them, tiki torches have acquired an uncomfortable secondary association: The tiki torch imagery was disturbing.
