thermal imager
Infrared vision device
A thermal imager is a device that detects infrared radiation and converts it into a visible image, showing heat differences across a scene.
Used in firefighting to find people through smoke, in building inspection to locate heat leaks, in military and law enforcement for night vision, and in medicine to detect inflammation.
Also called a thermal camera or infrared camera.
