texturizers
Food thickening agents
Texturizers are chemical products applied to tightly curled or coily hair to loosen the curl pattern without completely straightening it.
Unlike relaxers, which produce bone-straight results, texturizers soften and elongate natural curls, making hair easier to manage and style while retaining some texture.
The term also applies to food additives that modify the consistency or mouthfeel of processed foods, and to soil amendments that improve drainage and structure in gardening.
