Multi-gear bicycle
A ten-speed is a bicycle with ten gear combinations, typically achieved through two front chainrings and five rear sprockets.
The term evokes the lightweight road bikes that became popular in the 1970s and 80s, before mountain bikes and more complex gear systems proliferated: I rode my ten-speed to school every day.
