telluric

Pertaining to ground

Telluric means of or relating to the earth.

In geology and chemistry, it describes phenomena originating from the earth itself: telluric currents are natural electrical currents flowing through the ground.

The word also relates to the element tellurium.

More broadly, telluric can mean earthly as opposed to celestial: telluric concerns versus cosmic ones.
