tapout
Concede via contact
Tapout is the act of tapping an opponent or the mat to signal surrender, originating in wrestling and martial arts where a fighter concedes to escape a painful hold: He got caught in an armbar and had to tapout.
More broadly, it means quitting or giving up when you've had enough: I'm at my tapout point with this project.
The term appears as both noun and verb, sometimes spelled tap out or tap-out.
