TKO
Fight stopped early
TKO stands for technical knockout in boxing and other combat sports—a victory awarded when a fighter cannot safely continue, though not knocked unconscious.
The referee, doctor, or corner may stop the fight due to injury, exhaustion, or accumulated punishment.
Figuratively, a TKO is any decisive defeat short of total annihilation: The scandal was a political TKO for his campaign.
