t-post

A t-post is a metal fence post with a T-shaped cross-section, driven into the ground to support wire fencing.

The design provides strength while using less material than wooden posts.

T-posts are standard equipment for agricultural fencing, especially for containing livestock: We spent the morning pounding in t-posts along the property line.
