symlink
Path reference file
A symlink is a file that points to another file or directory, acting as a shortcut or alias.
Short for symbolic link.
Unlike a regular copy, a symlink contains only a reference to the original location: I created a symlink to the config file so both projects share it.
Deleting a symlink doesn't affect the original; deleting the original leaves the symlink broken.
