sweatbands
Athlete's forehead strips
Sweatbands are strips of absorbent material worn to catch perspiration.
A sweatband around the wrist keeps sweat from reaching the hands during athletic activity; one around the forehead keeps it out of the eyes.
Inside a hat, the sweatband is the inner band that contacts the head: The leather sweatband had darkened with years of wear.
