superscribe
Label the outside
To superscribe is to write or inscribe something on the top or outside of a document—typically an address on an envelope or a title on a cover: She superscribed the package with the recipient's name.
The word is formal and somewhat old-fashioned, largely replaced by simply "address" in everyday usage.
