subdelegation
Delegating your delegation
Subdelegation is the act of delegating authority that was itself delegated to you.
When someone receives delegated power and passes part of it down to another person, that's subdelegation: The manager's subdelegation of hiring decisions to team leads raised concerns.
The term appears mainly in legal, administrative, and corporate contexts, often where such further delegation requires explicit authorization or is prohibited altogether.
