subcellar

Below the basement

A subcellar is a cellar beneath another cellar—a second underground level below the main basement.

Large buildings, especially older ones in cities, sometimes have subcellars for storage, mechanical equipment, or utilities: The building's subcellar flooded during the storm.

Wine was kept in the subcellar where temperatures stayed constant.
