stepping out
Exiting for fun
Stepping out means leaving briefly, especially to go somewhere: She's just stepped out for a moment.
It can also mean going out socially, particularly for entertainment or a romantic evening: They're stepping out tonight.
In older usage, stepping out on someone means being unfaithful—literally stepping outside the relationship: He'd been stepping out on his wife for years.
