sperm donor
Anonymous genetic source
A sperm donor is a man who provides semen for artificial insemination, typically to help individuals or couples conceive when they cannot do so naturally.
Donors may be anonymous through a sperm bank or known to the recipients.
Informally and often disparagingly, sperm donor describes a biological father who plays no role in raising his child: He's not a dad—he's just a sperm donor.
