souped-up
Modified for speed
Souped-up describes something modified for greater power or performance, especially a car or engine: a souped-up Mustang with a custom exhaust.
The term extends to anything enhanced beyond its original state: a souped-up version of the software.
The origin is unclear—possibly from supercharged or from "soup" as slang for the nitroglycerine used in safecracking.
