pimped

Souped up extravagantly

Pimped is the past tense of pimp, which in its original sense means to manage prostitutes and take a share of their earnings.

More commonly now, pimped describes something that has been customized or upgraded with flashy modifications: He pimped his car with chrome wheels and neon lights.

The slang sense comes from the MTV show *Pimp My Ride*, where vehicles received extravagant makeovers.
