A soundbank is a collection of digital audio samples or instrument sounds stored for use by synthesizers, samplers, or music software.
Musicians load soundbanks to access specific timbres—pianos, strings, drum kits, or synthesized textures: The producer loaded a vintage soundbank for that 80s feel.
