solubilisation
Rendering something soluble
Solubilisation is the process of making something soluble—able to dissolve in a liquid, typically water.
The term appears in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biology, where substances that don't naturally dissolve must be converted into soluble form: The solubilisation of the drug compound improved its absorption.
Also spelled solubilization.
