lipophilic

Dissolves in oils

Lipophilic describes substances that dissolve readily in fats, oils, and lipids—literally "fat-loving." The term appears in chemistry, pharmacology, and biology: Lipophilic drugs can cross cell membranes more easily.

The opposite is hydrophilic, which describes substances that mix well with water.
