snub-nosed monkey
Asian stub-snouted simian
Snub-nosed monkeys are Asian primates with distinctive flattened faces and upturned nostrils.
Found in mountainous forests of China, Vietnam, and Myanmar, they have thick fur adapted to cold climates.
The unusual nose shape may prevent frostbite at high altitudes.
Several species are endangered due to habitat loss.
