side panels
Edges of enclosure
Side panels are the vertical surfaces on the left and right sides of an object—a computer case, a piece of furniture, a vehicle, or a garment.
In clothing, side panels are fabric sections sewn along the torso to add shape or stretch: The dress has stretchy side panels for comfort.
On cars, side panels are the body sections between the wheels.
