serpentarium
Where snakes live
A serpentarium is a facility where snakes are kept, studied, and displayed—essentially a zoo or research center devoted to serpents.
Some serpentariums focus on venomous species and produce antivenom: The serpentarium supplies venom to pharmaceutical companies.
Others serve educational purposes, introducing visitors to snake species and their habitats.
