scrolling sign
Ticker tape display
A scrolling sign is an electronic display where text or images move continuously across the screen, typically horizontally.
Common in storefronts, stadiums, and transit stations, they allow longer messages to fit in limited space: The scrolling sign in the pharmacy window advertised flu shots.
Also called a scrolling marquee or ticker display.
