salivation
Drooling from anticipation
Salivation is the production of saliva, the watery fluid secreted in the mouth.
The word usually describes excessive or noticeable flow rather than the normal background process: The smell of bacon cooking triggered immediate salivation.
Pavlov's famous experiments showed dogs could be conditioned to salivate at the sound of a bell.
