sale signs
Markdown announcement displays
Sale signs are the placards, banners, and displays that retailers use to announce discounted prices or special promotions.
They range from handwritten cardboard to elaborate printed displays: The windows were plastered with sale signs.
The term often evokes aggressive retail marketing or the visual clutter of discount stores.
