ring binder

Loose-leaf organizer

A ring binder is a folder with metal rings that open and close to hold hole-punched papers.

The rings snap through holes along one edge of the pages, allowing sheets to be added, removed, or rearranged: She organized her notes in a three-ring binder.

Common in schools and offices for keeping documents in order.
