resins
Sticky plant secretions
Resins are sticky, viscous substances that harden when exposed to air, produced naturally by plants—especially conifers—or manufactured synthetically.
Natural resins like amber and frankincense have been valued for millennia.
Synthetic resins form the basis of many plastics, adhesives, and coatings: epoxy resin, polyester resin.
In cannabis culture, resin refers to the concentrated compounds containing THC.
