remit
Forward the funds
Remit has two clusters of meaning.
One involves sending or transmitting—especially money: Please remit payment within 30 days.
Courts remit cases to lower courts for reconsideration.
The other involves lessening or forgiving: to remit a debt is to cancel it; symptoms that remit have subsided.
As a noun (accent on first syllable), a remit is the scope of someone's authority or responsibility: That falls outside my remit.
