regreening
Restoring plant cover
Regreening is the process of restoring vegetation to land that has been degraded, deforested, or otherwise stripped of plant life.
The term appears in environmental and agricultural contexts: regreening the Sahel, urban regreening projects.
It can also describe something returning to a green color after dormancy or damage: the regreening of lawns after drought.
