pocket parks
Small urban oases
Pocket parks are small urban green spaces, typically on a single lot or small parcel of land, offering a patch of nature or public seating in dense neighborhoods.
They fill gaps between buildings where larger parks aren't feasible: The city converted the vacant lot into a pocket park with benches and trees.
Also called miniparks or vest-pocket parks.
