refuelling

Adding more fuel

Refuelling is the British spelling of refueling—adding fuel to a vehicle, aircraft, or vessel.

The term extends to any replenishment of energy or resources: We stopped for refuelling—both the car and ourselves.

A refuelling station provides fuel; a refuelling stop interrupts a journey for this purpose.
