reckoner
One who computes
A reckoner is a person or thing that calculates or computes.
Historically, a reckoner was a book of tables used for quick calculations—a ready reckoner helped merchants figure prices, taxes, or conversions without doing the math themselves.
The term now sounds old-fashioned, largely replaced by calculator.
