recessional music
Exit ceremony soundtrack
Recessional music is the music played as people exit a ceremony, especially a wedding or church service.
It accompanies the formal departure—the bride and groom walking back down the aisle, or the congregation filing out after worship.
The term contrasts with processional music, which accompanies entrance: They chose Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" as their recessional music.
