reascent
Going up again
A reascent is a climb back up after having descended.
The word appears most often in mountaineering and hiking contexts, where a route requires descending into a valley before climbing again: The reascent to the ridge took another two hours.
It also applies figuratively to recoveries or returns to former heights.
