radio tuner
Frequency-finding device component
A radio tuner is the component that selects and receives a specific radio frequency from the electromagnetic spectrum.
In a stereo system, the tuner is often a separate unit from the amplifier: The receiver combines a tuner and amplifier in one box.
Tuner also refers to the dial or interface used to find stations: She spun the tuner looking for something good.
