quarter-pipe
Half a halfpipe
A quarter-pipe is a curved ramp used in skateboarding, snowboarding, and similar sports, shaped like one quarter of a pipe cut lengthwise.
Riders approach from the flat, ride up the curved transition, and perform tricks at the lip before descending.
Unlike a half-pipe, which has two opposing walls, a quarter-pipe stands alone: He launched off the quarter-pipe and grabbed his board midair.
