power units
Watts and horsepower
Power units are standardized measures of power—the rate at which energy is transferred or work is done.
The watt is the SI standard; horsepower remains common for engines and motors.
In motorsport, particularly Formula 1, a power unit is the complete engine and energy recovery system: The team developed a new power unit for the season.
