plaything
Object for amusement
A plaything is something to play with—a toy, or anything treated as a source of casual amusement.
The word often carries a dismissive edge: to call someone a plaything suggests they're being used for another's entertainment without serious regard: She refused to be his plaything.
Objects manipulated carelessly may also be playthings: The boat was a plaything of the waves.
