pinch pots
Hand-hollowed clay vessels
Pinch pots are simple clay vessels formed by pressing and pinching a ball of clay with the fingers and thumb, shaping it from the inside out.
The technique requires no wheel or tools, making it one of the oldest and most accessible methods of pottery: The children made pinch pots in art class.
The term also describes the finished objects themselves.
