overslung
Draped from overhead
Overslung describes something suspended or mounted from above, typically a structural arrangement where a component hangs beneath its support.
The term appears most often in engineering contexts: an overslung chassis sits below the axles rather than above them, and an overslung crankshaft hangs beneath its bearings.
The opposite arrangement is underslung.
