throwaway account
Burner online profile
A throwaway account is a temporary online account created for a single purpose, then abandoned.
Users create throwaways to post anonymously—asking embarrassing questions, sharing secrets, or discussing sensitive topics without it being linked to their main identity: I'm using a throwaway because my wife knows my real username.
Common on Reddit and similar platforms.
