disappearing messages
Temporary digital communications
Disappearing messages are digital communications set to delete automatically after a specified time.
The feature appears in messaging apps like Signal and WhatsApp, offering privacy by ensuring conversations don't persist indefinitely: I turned on disappearing messages so nothing stays on my phone longer than a week.
The messages vanish from both sender's and recipient's devices, though screenshots can still capture them before deletion.
